Educational Seminar

We were delighted to welcome attendees to our educational seminar on Tuesday 6 December here at our offices in the City. Speakers included:

  • Ruth Lea, Economic Adviser to the Arbuthnot Banking Group, who provided an update on the general economy
  • Paul Stanfield, Chief Executive of the Federation of European IFAs (FEIFA) who looked at the problems and risks of advising expat or emigrating clients as well as how IFAs can develop business in Europe
  • Gerrit Heyns from Osmosis Investment Management who discussed resource efficiency and the resulting investment opportunities
  • Steven Graham, our Sales Director, who talked through the educational materials and additional resources we provide on structured products

Risk Roundtable

Recently, many investment professionals have raised the issue of how to quantify the risk of structured products. Client's risk profiles are mapped but how do you decide which product matches their approach?

Gilliat Financial Solutions is developing methodology that can be applied to all structured products and, to help achieve this, we hosted a roundtable event to get feedback and suggestions from members of the financial adviser community.
